MSF-NL General Assembly 2024 Outcomes
Thank you to all of you who made your voices heard at the MSF-Netherlands General Assembly (GA)!
As MSF-NL turns 40 this year, we marked this significant milestone in MSF-NL's history together with our Association members, the MSF-NL Board and all, thanks again for being a crucial part of it.
This 2-day gathering took place on Friday 31 May and Saturday 1 June at the Amsterdam Office, and was attended in-person and online on Zoom.

MSF-NL 2024 GA Election Results
We are happy to announce that five new Board Members were elected to the 2024-2025 MSF-NL Board. Only candidates who received a minimum of 10% of all valid votes cast could be elected. All elected candidates met this threshold. As a refresh, you can check out our Board Members’ biographies on the Association Website. We congratulate our new Board members and looking forward to engaging with them in the upcoming days!

We would also like to thank all Association members who submitted their candidacy for election to the Board – we are very grateful for your commitment to MSF-NL and hope you may run again in the future.
Motions Voting Results
Association motions voting resulted in the approval of eight Board proposal and four Association Motions. All of these Association motions and Board proposals were pre-submitted. Please click on each of the motions below for details:
- Approved proposal on amendments to the MSF-NL by-laws to authorise the Board to conduct due diligence prior to approving new members
- Approved proposal on the amendments to the MSF-NL by-laws to authorise the Board to terminate the membership of those who have not confirmed their continued interest in being a member within a reasonable amount of time, and to decide annually whether to implement this process
- Approved proposal on the amendments to the MSF-NL by-laws to remove he need to elect the President at the General Assembly
- Approved proposal on the amendments to the MSF-NL by-laws to introduce a term limit to the President and the Vice-President
- Approved proposal on the amendments to the MSF-NL by-laws to remove the Article 14.1 b, thus ending the preference for the Vice-President to be medical or para-medical.
- Approved motion on the formation of MSF MENA Association
- Approved motion on reducing MSF barriers to healthcare for LGBTQI+
- Approved motion on reclarification of the social mission and programme definitions
- Approved motion on the measures expressing solidarity with the Palestinian population.
Motions proposed and passed by the Association have the status of recommendations to the Board. They will be reported back on to the Association at the next GA.
Approval of MSF-Netherlands Administration
The Association also voted on recent management and governance of MSF-NL. In line with the decision to discharge the Board from liability for the governance of the organisation in 2023, members approved the documents below.
