About
MSF Netherlands Association
Founded in 1984, Médecins Sans Frontières Netherlands (MSF-NL) or Artsen zonder Grenzen is a self-governed, member-based, non-profit organisation that works to help populations in distress, victims of natural or man-made disasters and victims of armed conflict irrespective of race, religion, creed or political convictions.
MSF-NL is part of an international movement of independent legal entities bound by a shared name and identity and a shared commitment to the MSF Charter and Principles. MSF-NL holds the role of being the nominal legal entity for the Operational Centre Amsterdam (OCA) which is a collaborative operational partnership .
As an Association-driven organisation, MSF-NL is owned by its members. Through the Association, the members collectively exercise influence over MSF-NL strategy and identity and, when necessary, effect change from within the movement.
In other words, it is all about working together to make a difference!
