MSF-NL General Assembly 2023 Outcomes

Thank you to all of you who made your voices heard at the MSF-Netherlands General Assembly (GA)!

Our full-day gathering took place on June 10 (Saturday) at the Amsterdam Office, and was attended in-person and online on Zoom. This year, our assembly was enriched by the attendance of guests from CAMEX, East Africa, South Asia, and UK.

MSF NL 2023 GA Election Results

We are happy to announce that three new Board Members were elected to the 2023-2024 MSF-NL Board. Only candidates who received a minimum of 10% of all valid votes cast could be elected. All elected candidates met this threshold. As a refresh, you can check out our Board Members’ biographies on the Association Website. We congratulate our new Board members and looking forward to engaging with them in the upcoming days!

We would also like to thank all Association members who submitted their candidacy for election to the Board – we are very grateful for your commitment to MSF-NL and hope you may run again in the future.

Motions Voting Results

Association motions voting resulted in the approval of one Board proposal and four Association Motions. One of these Association motions was pre-submitted, while the other three were raised from the floor. Please click on each of the motions below for details.

Approved motion on flexibility and autonomy in operational decision-making
Approved motion on OCA-C Associative Accountability
Approved two motions relating to balancing reductions in operations, one with institutional- and headquarter-focus and the other at the international-level

Motions proposed and passed by the Association have the status of recommendations to the Board. They will be reported back on to the Association at the next GA.

Assembly Approval of MSF-Netherlands Administration

The Association also voted on recent management and governance of MSF-NL. In line with the decision to discharge the Board from liability for the governance of the organisation in 2022, members approved the documents below.
